Angry Algorithms Episode – 243 - Cuda and the Cup

Episode Summary

Angry Algorithms Episode 243: Chicken Tenders, Backstage Trespassing & Flyers Misery It’s Halloween season, the Flyers are playing like they’ve already been eliminated, and somehow Bill is having the best week of his life. Welcome to Episode 243 of Angry Algorithms, where a free ticket hookup turns into a poultry distribution operation, a Sturgill Simpson concert becomes an accidental trespassing adventure, and the Stanley Cup makes a surprise appearance in South Jersey. We’ve got enough Chickie’s and Pete’s food to feed an entire NHL roster, a backstage excursion that definitely wasn’t on the itinerary, and Bill casually convincing strangers he’s a celebrity because Lou Nolan knows his name. Meanwhile, the Flyers are busy reminding everyone why hope is a dangerous and deeply unhealthy emotion. The boys break down the state of the Orange and Black, debate whether last year’s playoff run was actually a curse, and try to figure out how a professional hockey team can have approximately 47 bottom-six forwards and not a single legitimate top-line center. Plus, the Stanley Cup gets a South Jersey field trip, former Flyers would apparently rather be drinking than signing autographs, and we discover that the only thing more disappointing than the Flyers’ roster is their ability to capitalize on a good opportunity. Crank up the Alice in Chains, grab a bucket of tendies, and prepare for another episode of hockey rage, questionable decisions, and unsolicited opinions delivered with absolutely zero qualifications. Angry Algorithms: We’re not saying we could run the Flyers better. We’re just saying we couldn’t possibly do worse.
