The boys are back, and this week we’re taking a questionable trip deep into the heart of Texas — where the beaches are beautiful, the water is absolutely disgusting, dead fish are floating around, and apparently nobody has any problem leaving empty liquor bottles in the sand. After discovering the Redneck Riviera, the crew heads to Margaritaville for some drinks, hockey updates, and what may or may not have been an accidental introduction to the RV campground swinger lifestyle. Was it actually a swingers resort? Was it just the free-spirited camping community? Or was somebody simply too drunk to know what the hell they were looking at? Then it’s off to Buc-ee’s, where everything is bigger, including the selection of merchandise nobody asked for. Coffee? Sure. Brisket? Maybe. Five-pack of Buc-ee’s underwear? Absolutely not. Although a $64 Texas Longhorns shirt almost makes the purchase list for the sole purpose of trolling some Ohio State fans. Back home, the AHL delivers another week of hockey chaos, including a 14-13 barn burner, a questionable attempt at a surprise visit, a field crew apparently consisting of an entire neighborhood armed with blowers and squeegees, and one very confused guy who showed up to a canceled game anyway. And finally, we dive into the Mylec Cup, the National Ball Hockey League championship weekend in Gloucester Township — including why one of the officials mysteriously didn't make the official referee photo and how somebody somehow managed to work 18 games over the weekend. Texas. Buc-ee's. Swingers. Hockey. Dead fish. And an unnecessary amount of Buc-ee's underwear.
